Reekado Banks has made claim that his debut album set for release in August 2016 will be the best album to have been heard in the last decade and the next decade to follow.
Speaking about his project with HipTV, the Headies 2015 next rated act confidently said “Expect some crazy packages men, some mad jams cos I’m taking it to the next level definitely, It’s going to be the best album you heard this year or probably the last ten years or in the next ten years. There is one song that talks about me, talks basically about me, so watch out for it, it’s called ‘Na your boy.”
You would recall some weeks back, Don Jazzy, his label bosstweeted about the album, telling fans to expect the best from Reekado.
The Mavin singer shared the news on his Twitter page some days back.
The album will include collaborations with Nigerian and international acts and songs like ‘Katapot’, ‘Sugar baby’, ‘Corner’, ‘Tomorrow’, and ‘Oluwa ni’ are expected on the 18 album tracklist.
Banks’ single ‘Oluwa ni’ has been nominated for Best Song at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards coming up in September 2016. His latest single ‘Standard’ is currently getting major airplay on the streets and radio.
The singer has featured on other artistes’ projects and going on tours in 2016, while working on releasing his album which reportedly is titled ”Oluwa ni”, a title of one of his singles.
The album release will be a good way for Banks to pass on the ‘baton’ to the Headies Next Rated Act 2016.
