Aisha Buhari Launches “Get Involved” Initiative to Fight Malnutrition

"First Lady, Aisha Buhari on Tuesday launched the “Get Involved” component of the Future Assured program designed to provide solutions to problems of malnutrition among children in the country.

The initiative is aimed at attracting active participation of well meaning Nigerians, private sector and non governmental organizations in response to the alarming outbreak of undernourishment at internally Displaced Camps.

According to a UNICEF report 2.5 Million Nigerian children suffer from malnutrition with about 500,000 likely to die from the deficiency within a year.

Aisha Buhari said with collective efforts from the Nigerian Public no child in Nigeria should lack a good nutritional diet."
